About F.I.S.H. Food Pantry

An ALL VOLUNTER organization founded in 1970, F.I.S.H. Food Pantry has served the community for over 50 years.  

The initials of F.I.S.H. tell the story: Friend, I Shall Help.  We are an organization of volunteers helping people in emergency situations.

In 2025, we received over 15,000 visits from households in the area and provided food for more than 70,000 people. We use the Illinois Department of Human Services Income Eligibility as our guideline.

F.I.S.H. is funded entirely by donations. We receive cash and food from various organizations such as churches, schools, businesses, scouts, women and men’s organizations and individuals. We are also supported by the many local stores who participate in the Feeding America food recovery program.
