3K Hero Fun Run & Summer Bash

7 Hills Healthcare is inviting all community families to join in a  3K Hero Fun Run & Summer Bash on Saturday, August 9. The event is free, however monetary donations to the FISH Food Pantry are welcome.

To start the day, a 3k Hero Fun Run will begin at 10:00 AM at The Depot, 319 N. River Street, East Dundee and ends at 7 Hills Heathcare Center, 455 E. Main Street, East Dundee. Racers and event attendees are encouraged to dress like their hero. Hero’s can be anyone the racer or attendee admires or looks up to. A hero can be a family member, a favorite teacher, an actor or sports hero or a fictional character. Check-in begins at 9:30 AM at the Depot. To pre-register, racers and teams may visit tinyurl.com/hero3k or call (847)428-2273. All runners will receive a race packet upon check-in, which includes a race day t-shirt.

After the run, the event will continue in the parking lot of 7 Hills Healthcare Center. Attendees do not need to participate in the Fun Run to enjoy the Summer Bash party. The Summer Bash will begin at 11:00 AM and include free food, drinks, games and music. All are welcome to enjoy complimentary face-painting, balloon artists, bouncy houses and inflatable slides.

“It’s just a fun way to reach out to the entire community just before the school year begins. We’ve had such a positive response from both the business community and residents and have over 100 early registrations for the race.  We are really looking forward to seeing friends and families come out for a end-of-summer get together,” says Aaron Bush, 7 Hills Healthcare Administrator.

East Dundee St. Patrick's Day Parade

Come watch the parade in East Dundee and bring your donations for our pantry! To honor the memory and giving nature of Tim and Thom McNamee, the parade supports the FISH Food Pantry that helps feed those in need in the Dundee Township community. We will be taking a collection of food or cash donations in the parade.

Watch for FISH near the front of the parade. The McNamee family will be riding the Tim and Thom McNamee Food Drive Float. The Cart Clan will be pushing shopping carts supplied by Jewel in hopes that they will be filled to the top with donations. Parade watchers are encouraged to bring nonperishable items to give to the Cart Clan as they pass in the parade. The Cart Clan may even be seen performing some synchronized moves along the route. FISH volunteers will also be walking in the parade and accepting monetary donations. If you are marching in the parade and would still like to donate, you can bring your donations to the folks with FISH in the parade line up.
